Minerva Guerrero was born in the Dominican Republic and migrated to the United States with her parents and grandparents- all for the search for a better life and the beloved American dream- a decision that so many immigrant families make.
Raised in New York City, Minerva knows first-hand the importance of having legal status in the U.S. in order to reach personal and professional goals. Dr. Minerva completed all of her education in this country, received life-saving medical treatment for a cancer diagnosis in her late 20's in New York, and started her own family in Westchester County.
Dr. Minerva is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York with additional licenses in New Jersey and Florida and has been working clinically with immigrants and their families for over 12 years. She has her own mental health therapy practice based out of White Plains, New York. Dr. Minerva provides mental health therapy, business coaching and consulting, and mental health evaluations for immigration. She obtained her Master’s Degree from The City College of New York and her PhD from Pace University.
